Thickness to Be Developed
If thickness isn’t specified, it can be adjusted during sampling around the strap profile, target feel, support, and selected hardware.
1. Adjuster Fit & Movement
Adding thickness can change how easily the strap passes through a slider. If your hardware is already selected, the finished construction needs to provide enough clearance while still allowing the strap to adjust smoothly.
2. Strap Feel & Bulk
A thickness change can make the same-width strap feel flatter or more substantial. If the current strap feels too bulky or too light, thickness is one of the specifications we can adjust without automatically changing the width.
3. Stretch & Recovery
Changing thickness may require changes to yarn, weave density, or elastic construction. Those changes can also affect how the strap stretches and returns, so we evaluate elastic performance again rather than assuming it will remain unchanged.
4. Support
A thicker strap does not automatically provide more support. If support is the actual target, width, elastic arrangement, stretch, tension, and webbing construction may be more effective specifications to adjust.

Need to match an existing strap or reach a specific elastic performance? We can develop the stretch, tension, and recovery from your target specification, reference sample, or the way you need the strap to perform in the finished sports bra.
Stretch percentage alone doesn’t define how a sports bra strap will perform. Two straps can reach the same elongation and still have different tension, recovery, and feel when worn.
Once the required elastic performance is approved, the sample and agreed measurement conditions can be used as the reference for bulk production.

Plain Woven Elastic
A clean construction for sports bra straps where elastic performance and surface feel are the main requirements. Yarn, weave density, and elastic arrangement can be adjusted according to the required strap performance.
Jacquard Woven Elastic
Logos, text, or patterns are woven directly into the strap structure. The jacquard construction can be developed together with the elastic structure so branding and strap performance are considered in the same sample.
Different Face & Skin-Side Constructions
The visible side and skin-contact side do not always need to serve the same purpose. The face can prioritize appearance or woven branding while the reverse construction can be developed around the required surface feel.
Custom Elastic Construction
When an existing construction does not give the required result, yarn specification, weave density, and elastic arrangement can be adjusted while keeping specifications such as material or width unchanged where possible. Woven elastic fundamentally combines warp/weft yarns with an elastic component, giving manufacturers several structural variables to work with.

Have a strap sample that needs a softer or more comfortable feel? Tell us what needs to improve and what already works. We can focus the next sample on the relevant yarn, surface, edge, thickness, or webbing construction without automatically changing the whole strap.
If the sample surface is rougher than your target, we can evaluate the surface yarn and skin-contact construction first. Material, width, stretch, and visible appearance can remain unchanged where the existing specifications already work.
A firm sample does not automatically require a different material. Yarn specification, weave density, thickness, and webbing construction can be evaluated to create a softer and more flexible hand feel.
If the main surface already feels right but the edges are too firm, development can focus on the edge construction rather than softening the entire strap.
If the surface feel is acceptable but the sample feels too substantial, thickness and construction can be adjusted while checking that the required elastic performance is maintained.
A comfort adjustment does not have to mean redesigning the entire strap. Tell us which characteristics should stay and which need to change.

These methods are established on elastic/webbing used for bras, underwear and sportswear. Industry suppliers specifically show jacquard, screen-printed, silicone-printed and sublimation/digital-printed elastic for these applications.

Logos, lettering, multicolor graphics, and repeating patterns can be woven directly into sports bra straps. What matters during development is whether the artwork can be reproduced clearly within the required strap width while maintaining the elastic performance the strap needs.
A logo that looks clear in the artwork file does not automatically translate at every strap width. We evaluate several parts of the design together before developing the jacquard construction.

We can develop sports bra strap colors from a Pantone TCX reference, physical color sample, or specified jacquard artwork. For multicolor jacquard straps, the strap base and individual woven logo colors can be developed separately.
